Originally published in 1871 by Albert Pike & then copyrighted by the Supreme Council of AASR in 1906, this printing manufactured by L. H. Jenkins of Richmond (VA) in May 1920 (though title page states Charleston with some symbols, "A" "M,'' "5641"). It is the original text, NOT the modern reprint! In 861 pp with Preface. With burgundy cloth-covered boards & gilt lettering & decoration to front & spine, this hardcover (6" x 9.25") is in VG+ condition: exceptionally clean inside, pages white & unmarked save for former owner's name, degree, date (1/5 & 6, 1924) inside front cover. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure, modest rubbing to extremities, heaviest (with a tad of fraying to both ends of spine & all corners. Small scrape to front cover near top edge.
