Mood Around the World Today is a poetic journey through the many emotions, struggles, hopes, and questions that shape human life across the globe. Through vivid imagery, reflective verses, and powerful observations, Adolf Jackson explores the changing spirit of our modern world and the feelings that connect people across nations, cultures, and generations.
In this collection, every poem becomes a window into the human experience. Joy, sorrow, anger, wonder, loneliness, ambition, compassion, and uncertainty are woven together to create a portrait of humanity in motion. The poems examine the atmosphere of our time - the moods of societies, the thoughts of individuals, and the invisible emotions that travel through communities like winds across the earth.
From bustling cities filled with dreams and challenges to quiet moments of personal reflection, Mood Around the World Today captures the contrasts of existence. It explores how people search for meaning, how they respond to change, and how they find strength during difficult seasons. The book reflects on the voices of ordinary people, the events that shape history, and the emotions that remain constant despite differences in language, geography, or tradition.
Adolf Jackson's poetry invites readers to look beyond headlines and appearances, encouraging deeper thought about the world we share. The poems consider the beauty and complexity of human connection while acknowledging the conflicts, fears, and uncertainties that influence the present age. Through thoughtful language and imaginative expression, the collection asks important questions: What does humanity feel today? What burdens do we carry? What hopes continue to guide us forward?
With inspiration drawn from the changing rhythms of life, Mood Around the World Today serves as both a reflection and a conversation. It is a celebration of creativity, a record of emotions, and a reminder that behind every nation, every community, and every individual is a story waiting to be understood.
Whether read in moments of quiet reflection or shared among those who appreciate meaningful poetry, this collection offers a unique exploration of the modern human condition. It is a work about connection - between past and present, struggle and hope, the individual and the world.
Mood Around the World Today is more than a collection of poems. It is a poetic mirror held before humanity, revealing the feelings, questions, and dreams that define our shared journey through the world today.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book.
