Patsy is trapped in a life of mind-numbing boredom and utter desperation. Seeking a radical escape, she makes a horrifying choice: she falsely accuses her unsuspecting husband of domestic violence. With her bridge burned, she flees far from home and plunges headfirst into a dark, gritty underground world of survival and crime.
Driven by an insatiable desire to become rich and famous, Patsy navigates a raw, turbulent path of self-discovery. But her ambitions quickly morph into pure, unchecked entitlement when she crosses paths with Dirk.
Recognizing a shared, ruthless hunger for power, Patsy and Dirk form a dangerous partnership. Together, they launch a reckless crime spree fueled by an insane love for money. Their deception knows no bounds—Patsy attempts to drag her own teenage daughter into her dark lifestyle, while Dirk actively plots against his own vulnerable, aging parents who are living with dementia.
Based on the complex, raw realities of human greed, this gripping realistic fiction thriller pulls back the curtain on the destructive nature of absolute selfishness. Can Patsy and Dirk successfully lie their way to the top, or will their criminal house of cards come crashing down around them?
Scroll up and grab your copy to discover the shocking, unexpected end of a dangerous duo who pushed the boundaries of loyalty and law.
