Minor shelf wear, binding tight, pages clean and unmarked. Mondrian | Nicholson: In ParallelAn illustrated art publication exploring the artistic relationships and parallels between Piet Mondrian (1872?1944) and Ben Nicholson (1894?1982), two influential figures in the development of twentieth-century geometric abstraction. The publication examines the artists' approaches to composition, color, geometric form, and the development of modern abstract painting.Mondrian's iconic compositions of primary colors and black lines are presented alongside Nicholson's more restrained geometric abstractions, highlighting both the similarities and differences in their artistic practices. The cover features reproductions of works by both artists, offering a visually striking comparison of their distinctive approaches to abstraction. An appealing publication for collectors of modern art, British modernism, De Stijl, geometric abstraction, and twentieth-century European painting.
