Mompowerment: Insights from Successful Professional Part-time Working Moms Who Balance Career and Family is a 2018 Readers' Favorite Silver Medal Winner in the Non-Fiction - Business/Finance category.
When moms consider their career options, they traditionally think only of working full time or staying at home. What about the huge area in between? What if you could work part-time, continuing down your professional path, and actually spend more quality time with your family? Or maybe you want to start building a business or focus more energy on a cause you’re passionate about.
Whatever the reason, how do you make this happen? You don’t want to throw away all you’ve worked so hard on. Many companies have become more open to flexible work solutions, so how do you even propose this at work? And how do you set yourself up for success in a part-time role?
In her award-winning book, Mompowerment: Insights from Successful Professional Part-time Working Moms Who Balance Career and Family, Suzanne shares her own experience and extensive research and recounts stories, advice, and insights from interviews with more than 110 professional part-time working moms to:
- provide a guide for transitioning your career model to a part-time role
- empower you to think differently about career and work-life balance
- propose a new way of working to a manager and/or senior leadership team
- help you work smarter to maximize your time and energy
- give you practical tips to start making changes now in your own work-life balance
By the end of this book, you’ll be able to see if the professional part-time option is right for you, think through mindset shifts, make changes at home and at work, and set yourself up for success in your new way of working.
