When one mom returns home to her family after undergoing surgery for breast cancer, she confronts life with a smile and a never-ending, upbeat attitude.
Told from a child’s perspective, this picture book describes all of the ways Mom tackles her recovery and addresses life’s everyday experiences. Mom is like a vigorous marathon runner, a fearless mountain climber, a legendary movie star, and a devoted astronaut on a mission.
Inspiring optimism, humor, and gratitude, Mom is a Metaphor shares how adversity cannot break a person’s positive spirit.
