Second edition. x, [11]-633 p.: illustrations, many in red and black; 21 cm. Publisher's green cloth with gilt-stamped spine title and cover title; gilt-, red-, and blue-stamped decoration on spine and front cover. Small stamp on front free endpaper: "Chicago. Nov 19 1898 T.T. Watson, Gen'l Manager." "Please return to T.T. Watson" stamped on endpapers and title page. T.T. Watson was appointed general manager for Chicago by the Equitable Life Assurance Society of New York in 1896. Contains some pencilled notations. In Very Good Condition: corners lightly rubbed; pp. 13-20 missed in binding, but present; tears from fore-edge of pp. 573-576 without loss; pencilled notations on a few pages; otherwise clean and bright. A very attractive binding.
