Paperback. The Modern Philosophy of World History is the concluding volume of Muhammadjon Rahimov's three-part exploration of humanity's changing understanding of history. Moving from Renaissance humanism to the early twenty-first century, the book traces major philosophies of history through Vico, Herder, Kant, Hegel, Marx, Nietzsche, Dilthey, Weber, Spengler, Toynbee, Jaspers, Collingwood, Popper, Braudel, Foucault, and other influential thinkers. It examines the Enlightenment, historicism, positivism, theories of civilization, sociological approaches, the Annales school, postcolonial thought, global history, and contemporary debates surrounding the Anthropocene. A substantial chapter brings Central Asia into this wider intellectual conversation, connecting its historical traditions with modern developments and the era of independence. Written for students, researchers, and thoughtful general readers, the volume combines intellectual history with critical inquiry, supported by chapter summaries, key concepts, discussion questions, a glossary, chronology, biographical notes, and references. An exploration of modern philosophies of history, from the Renaissance to the Anthropocene, examining major thinkers, civilizations, global history, and Central Asia. This item is printed on demand.
