First published in 1934, this is a revised and updated seventh impression of 1959. Edge wear, chipping, closed tears and loss to top and bottom of jacket and spine, 3" of bottom front jacket and corner torn away with long creased tear to middle front jacket, corners rubbed with small loss, slight backwards lean. Not price clipped (13/6), small pencilled previous owner's name to top ffep, internally clean and tight, overall a reasonable, obviously much loved copy. 184pp, illustrated with diagrams. How to do your family's laundry efficiently and economically, written and revised for the post war British housewife, who had to do without servants. A far cry from bundling your washing into the washing machine and adding laundry liquid! Quite a scarce little book.
