Neuware - This book discusses mathematical models which can be used to characterize fluctuations in scattered waves, so that readers can make intelligent choices for system analysis and the development of new techniques. The text illustrates applications of the models with experimental results, and describes techniques of numerical simulation. The mathematical treatment is straightforward, and is based on standard statistical results, which are introduced in the first two chapters. The mathematical development discussions include the underlying phenomenology and are illustrated with experimental data and numerical simulation. Readers can use these to improve the performance of their own systems.
