Neuware - Mobile IV Therapy and Hydration Nursing Practice Manual is a comprehensive clinical guide for nurses and other qualified healthcare professionals who provide intravenous hydration and infusion services in mobile, concierge, outpatient, wellness, or other nontraditional care environments.Designed around practical decision-making, patient safety, and emergency readiness, this manual walks the reader through the entire mobile IV encounter-from screening and eligibility assessment to vascular access, fluid planning, infusion monitoring, complication recognition, documentation, discharge, and escalation. The emphasis throughout is on disciplined nursing assessment, clearly defined scope of practice, safe workflows, and the ability to recognize when a mobile encounter is no longer appropriate and requires higher-level evaluation. Inside, readers will find detailed guidance on patient screening and informed consent; vascular assessment and device selection; peripheral IV insertion and difficult-access planning; hydration fluids and infusion planning; aseptic technique and infection prevention; ongoing reassessment and discharge readiness; infiltration, extravasation, phlebitis, allergic reactions, and other complications; emergency response and EMS activation; documentation, privacy, orders, and quality records; and special considerations for higher-risk populations. Each chapter is structured for real-world clinical use with learning objectives, clinical competencies, clinical pearls, red-flag alerts, documentation points, case-based reasoning, practical protocols, skills checklists, key terms, chapter summaries, and review questions with rationales. The manual also includes appendices, competency tools, audit resources, patient-education templates, advanced decision exercises, a glossary, and an index for rapid reference. This book is especially useful for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, infusion nurses, mobile IV clinicians, wellness-clinic staff, nurse educators, clinical managers, and professionals developing or strengthening a mobile infusion service. It may also support orientation, staff development, competency validation, policy review, and quality-improvement initiatives. Mobile IV therapy requires more than technical cannulation skill. It requires sound clinical judgment, careful patient selection, infection-prevention discipline, accurate documentation, continuous reassessment, and a clear plan for emergencies. This manual brings those responsibilities together in one practical, professionally organized reference designed to support safer, more consistent mobile infusion practice.…
