Myths that Christians Believe and Share
If our beliefs are shaped by living proof and authentic experiences, why succumb to rumors? Uncover a catalog of myths and lies that challenge, urge, and summon Christians to dismantle and refute.
It's reasonable to assume that Christians should be more discerning and better informed than the rest of the world and to be examples of people who love the truth and love one another.
In Myths Christians Believe and Share, author Gary S. Shogren uses "myth" to refer to a popular belief without factual basis and, therefore, not true. People have always believed and shared false stories; sometimes with ill intent, and other times because it's what "they believe."
This book invites you to embark on a courageous quest for clarity amidst a labyrinth of assumptions and to equip yourself to break free from the chains of misinformation with truth, passion, and determination. The author aims to challenge readers to be better informed and exemplify individuals who cherish truth and love one another. To accomplish this, he asks you to pause and pose the following questions to yourself:
- How do I know this is true?
- What would it take to convince me it's not true?
- Is it so urgent that I can't spare a few minutes for research before sharing it?
Explore and debunk myths about the Bible, unravel falsehoods surrounding Hebrew, Greek, and biblical translation, and unveil the truth within myths about the modern world and the end of times.
Get ready to challenge deeply ingrained beliefs and embrace authentic wisdom.
