About the Author

Mark Mitchell has been fascinated in the stories of history since childhood. His grandmother would share her memories from the past....stories of the Flu Epidemic of 1918 or the news of the sinking of the Titanic or surviving during the Great Depression. When Mark met and married Yolanda McMullin in 1986, they bought a house in her hometown in Ludlow, Kentucky. She introduced him to the city's history and its ties to the Ludlow family. Traveling together across the country for historical and genealogical research in libraries and to interview Ludlow descendants, the project turned into the book "The Ludlow Legacy". Mark and Yolanda still live in the same house in Ludlow. They have three children, Matthew and Chloe, and their dog Rascal.
