Language: English. Approximately 421 pages. English: Print-on-demand reprint. Original edition : 1876. Text in English. This 1876 novel by Emily J. Beach is a compelling exploration of human misunderstanding and social dynamics in a small-town American setting. The narrative delves into the complexities of relationships, moral dilemmas, and the societal pressures that shape individual lives. As a work of 19th-century American literature, it provides valuable insights into the cultural and ethical challenges of the period. Beach's vivid characterizations and intricate plot development make this a significant contribution to the literary canon of the era, offering both historical context and timeless themes of human nature and societal expectations. Book images are non-contractual. This item is printed on demand and ships from our printing partners' facility nearest the destination. These facilities are located mainly in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.
