Paperback. A detective lies comatose after a mysterious collapse. A ruthless Turkish crime boss seizes his moment for revenge. And in the shadows of London's criminal underworld, a grieving detective is about to risk everything for justice. Detective Inspector James Carson's world shatters when he collapses, the victim of a sudden, unexplained brain bleed. As whispers of drugs and foul play swirl, his loyal partner, DS Leyla Hewson, is thrust into chaos-her boss fighting for his life, her team fractured, and her own past threatening to surface. But Carson's collapse is no accident. Mehmet Sahin, a feared kingpin in London's Turkish underworld, is celebrating what he believes is the perfect hit-vengeance for his brother's imprisonment, and a warning to anyone who dares cross his family. As a brutal turf war with Albanian rivals erupts, the city descends into violence, and the police are left scrambling for answers. Haunted by the unsolved murder of her fiance, Leyla is chosen for a dangerous undercover mission: infiltrate Sahin's inner circle, where trust is scarce and betrayal is deadly. Posing as a driver in his criminal network, Leyla must navigate a world of coded loyalties, shifting alliances, and violent retribution. Every move could be her last. As the body count rises and the stakes escalate, Leyla races to uncover the truth behind Carson's attack-and the web of corruption that binds the city's criminal elite to the very heart of the police. But in a world where nothing is as it seems, who can she trust? And how far will she go for justice? "Misdiagnosed" is a gripping crime thriller packed with pulse-pounding action, authentic police detail, and a cast of unforgettable characters. Perfect for fans of Lynda La Plante, Robert Galbraith, and gritty British noir, this is a story of vengeance, loyalty, and the high price of truth. London's underworld has never been more dangerous. Will Leyla survive long enough to expose the real killer? This item is printed on demand.
