Paperback. Trauma doesn't disappear. It waits. And sometimes it grows a voice. One by one, a list of names starts crossing itself off - an ex-girlfriend who let him back in, the family who loved her, anyone who ever stood between Mark and the thing he's become. A veteran detective, already carrying losses of his own, is the only one who sees the pattern before it's too late - and even he may not be fast enough to stop what's coming for the people left standing.Mark was born into a life already cracked - the son of a mother who never recovered from the violence that conceived him, and never learned how to look at him without seeing it. In the silence between her rages and her guilt, something else started speaking to him. A whisper in the mirror. A presence that soothed him when she couldn't. A voice that told him he wasn't alone, and that he never had to be afraid again. He called it nothing. He called it no one. But it stayed. Now Mark is grown, and the voice that once protected him wants something back. The Mirror Man is the part of Mark that learned to survive. And it isn't finished with him - or with anyone he loves - yet.A raw, unflinching psychological thriller, Mirror Man is for readers who want their horror character-driven and their dread slow-burning: the story of a mind at war with itself, and the people caught in the blast radius when it finally loses. When the voice that once saved you becomes the one that controls you - how do you break free from something that lives inside your own reflection?Contains graphic violence and themes of sexual assault, abuse, addiction, and child endangerment. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
