Print on Demand. This book explores the nature and existence of miracles by analyzing examples and perspectives from across the centuries. From the grandeur attributed to an act of God to the subtler, inexplicable interventions and coincidences in our daily lives, the author probes the depth of our reliance on the extraordinary in a rational world. Sharing examples from religion, history, and personal experience, the author weaves a rich tapestry of perspectives, inviting readers to consider if our faith can exist without the miraculous. Through insightful observation and nuanced argumentation, this book delves into the profound question of how belief and human understanding interact with the seemingly impossible. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.

If the above be a true description of miracles, - and perhaps it is - it follows, and must be con fessed, that they abound: that they are strewn around us, thick as autumnal leaves in forest glades: that in miracles we may be said to live, and move, and have our being; and that the question is not where they are, but where they are not to be found.
