From Harvard Medical School & Massachusetts General Hospital resident and Attending radiologists | For general radiologists, residents, and students. Over 100 trials included. A new addition to 2 Minute Medicine's The Classics Series™.
Foreword by Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) past president, gold medalist, and pioneer in thoracic imaging, Theresa C. McLoud, MD.
Radiology relies on well-conducted scientific evidence that must stand the test of time. 2 Minute Medicine’s The Classics in Radiology™, a manageable handbook, provides original summaries of the landmark studies in radiology. This text is comprised of exclusive summaries of key trials tailored specifically for radiologists, radiology trainees, and ancillary staff, targeting studies that imaging professionals must have a working knowledge of to excel in daily clinical practice. This curated collection is comprehensive yet manageable, including recent additions such as the DAWN, DEFUSE 3, and EXTEND-IA TNK trials with more established papers such as the Fleischner Society Guidelines, ROMICAT, MR-CLEAN, LUNG-RADS, PI-RADS, and many more!
A unique chapter, Interface Literature, focuses on key trials that, while not strictly imaging studies, aims to help bridge the evidence gap between radiology and other specialties. This 2 Minute Medicine™ collection includes summaries of renowned classics such as the RECIST 1.1, evidence behind stereotactic body radiotherapy for inoperable lung cancer, and many more.
