Item description from seller

[English Edition]. Undated, c1860. Small format (13 x 8 cm). Frontispiece and vignette title. Original blindstamped brown cloth; yellow endpapers. Lightly scuffed, very good. Scarce English edition (no copies located through COPAC) of American temperance novel, published in Auburn, with the same title, in 1854. Later American editions made the subject matter more specific by changing the title to Minnie Hermon The Rumseller's Daughter or Minnie Hermon or The Curse of Rum. This little book has the title rendered as Minnie Hermon or The Landlord's Daughter on the spine.
