Paperback. Mining historian Kerby Jackson introduces us to a classic mining work in this important re-issue of "Stamp Milling". Unavailable since 1912, this publication offers rare insights into the development and use of stamp mills that were once employed in gold and other mines in the century past. Included are details on the history of stamp mills, including their evolution from the Cornish Mill, Appalachian Mill and the California Mill, as well as the construction and operation of these mills in mining operations. This fascinating book offers a rare glimpse into these marvels of early mining technology that once helped early miners win millions of ounces of gold and silver from the hills of the Far West. Note: This edition is a perfect facsimile of the original edition and is not set in a modern typeface. As such, some type characters and images might suffer from slight imperfections or minor shadows in the page background. This item is printed on demand.
