Thomas B. Mosher, Portland, ME, 1901. Hardcover, 96 pp. Limited edition. One of 500 copies. Translated into English by A. Lenalie. Prose songs, based on 3rd Century B.C. greek poems. Marcel Schwob (1867-1905) was a French symbolist author known for proto-surrealist short stories. He influenced several future authors including Jorge Luis Borges. Fine condition with a small horizontal plate affixed on underside of the front board stating 'From the Library of Herbert Boyce Satcher'. Satcher, who lived from 1924 to 1958, was a book-collecting Episcopal minister and an authority on church music. Near fine with age toning and occasional light soiling of wraps folded over the boards. Otherwise unmarked. Seller Inventory # ABE-1683650482899
