Paperback. Black & White Edition: There have been many modern advances in the past 100 years in weapons and armoured transport, although this has had a great effect on the time taken to get the soldier into action and the effectiveness of his weapons on his target when he reaches it. The burden he has to carry once he has to leave his ARV or helicopter has hardly changed. At around 70lbs (the weight of a suit of armour) This book looks at the 1944 Pattern Web Equipment that helped the soldier carry his load from the closing days of World War 2 and on into the 1980`s. This is part of a series that will also include 1908 and 1937 pattern equipment using period War Office handbooks and photos of equipment from my own collection. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
