How do migration processes change social work? What role does volunteer engagement play? Municipal migration work, professional actors and civil society organisations are given high importance - also migrant (self-) organisations. Their interactions in the socio-spatial context are the subject of the contributions of this volume. The contributions of scientists and representatives of the practice of municipal migration work analyse the relationships between social workers, committed and immigrants and ask how diversity succeeds in the community. The authors present empirical research results as well as experiences of the practice of municipal migration work and formulate consequences for transformative social work.
