The wind doesn't just howl on the steppe—it speaks of secrets lost in time.
After the grueling trials in the Camargue, Maya Voss thought she understood the weight of the "Watch." But as she arrives in the heart of Mongolia, she realizes her journey has only just begun. Guided by the echoes of her grandmother’s cassette tapes and the wisdom of the nomadic horsemen, Maya must master the art of the Mongolian seat—a challenge that forces her to abandon everything she knows about control and surrender to the spirit of the horse.
But Maya isn’t the only one hunting for the truth.
The ancient, four-piece silver bridle is incomplete, and the shadows of the past are lengthening. With the mysterious Tenger, a Przewalski’s foal of impossible lineage, by her side, Maya uncovers a betrayal that threatens the very foundation of the Wind Riders. As the trail leads her closer to the final pieces of the bridle and points her toward the frozen north of Iceland, she discovers that her greatest enemy, Henrik Farouk, has been stalking this legacy for decades.
In a world where heritage is both a gift and a curse, Maya must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice to keep the "Watch" alive.
The legacy is calling. Will Maya be enough to answer it?
