Corner bumped; light wear to extremities; rippling, presumably from heat, along center of spine with small patch to front and rear panels. Binding sound and pages unmarked. Very Good. One of many American one-volume editions published in the 1880s following the Harper editions of 1872-1873. Virginia Woolf called Eliot's masterpiece, "the magnificent book which with all its imperfections is one of the few English novels written for grown-up people.". Seller Inventory # 32957
