About the Author
Alfred Thompson is an Academic Relations manager at Microsoft with a focus on supporting high school computer science teachers. Prior to that, Alfred was the Technology Coordinator and a Computer Science teacher at Bishop Guertin High School for 8 years. He has written several high school computer science textbooks and is a regular speaker at educational conferences and teacher training events. Brad Hunt possesses a unique combination of talents in technology, software development, and education. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology, a master's degree in educational instructional technology, and has taught college courses in Web programming and e-commerce. Brad has industry experience as a software developer, training director, project manager, and technology director, and has also co-authored several computer and Web development books. Stephen Collings graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in business administration. After graduation, he owned and managed an Internet distance learning corporation called LearningLynx, which specialized in computer science courses. Currently, Stephen works as a project manager for Smooth Fusion, a Web development company that provides cutting-edge technology services. He has also coauthored two Visual Basic textbooks and one computer concepts textbook. Todd Knowlton has been an author for Thomson Learning for 6 years and has published various titles in computer programming, computer concepts, and computer applications. His best selling book on C++ has sold over $2 million and counting. Todd remains very active in educational conferences and consults with Microsoft Corporation.
