Whether you are new to cloud computing or want to strengthen your cloud administration skills, this book gives you a structured path to learning Azure in a simple and professional way.
Microsoft Azure is one of the most powerful cloud platforms in the world, used by businesses, developers, IT professionals, students, and organizations to build, host, secure, monitor, and manage digital services online. With Azure, you can create virtual machines, store files, manage databases, build web apps, protect identities, control networks, automate tasks, monitor performance, and explore modern AI services.
This guide explains Azure in a step-by-step manner, making it suitable for beginners, IT learners, system administrators, cloud support professionals, developers, business owners, students, and self-learners. Instead of overwhelming you with unnecessary technical language, it breaks down important Azure concepts into practical explanations you can understand and apply.
Inside this Microsoft Azure user guide, you will learn how cloud computing works, how to create and set up an Azure account, how to navigate the Azure portal, how subscriptions and resource groups are used, and how to manage cloud resources correctly. You will also learn how to work with Azure Virtual Machines, choose VM sizes, connect using RDP or SSH, manage storage accounts, upload and protect files, and understand Azure networking fundamentals.
This book also covers essential Azure security topics, including Microsoft Entra ID, users, groups, roles, permissions, role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, Conditional Access basics, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and important security best practices. You will learn how to protect your Azure environment, reduce common risks, and manage access responsibly.
For readers interested in applications and modern cloud solutions, this guide explains Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, Azure App Service, web hosting, application connections, monitoring tools, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI concepts, machine learning basics, Azure Automation, Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, ARM templates, and Bicep. These topics help you understand how Azure supports real-world business, development, IT, and automation workflows.
You will also learn how to monitor Azure resources, manage cloud costs, create budgets, set spending alerts, troubleshoot common errors, avoid unwanted charges, and follow long-term Azure administration best practices.

Store description
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
