Text and images clear and readable. Microscopic Objects: How to Mount Them — Jean C. Johnson (English Universities Press /Hazell Watson, 1948). Practical, authoritative and compact, this classic manual shows you how to prepare and mount a wide range of specimens for the light microscope. Clear, no-nonsense instructions cover insects, radiolaria, spicules, diatoms and plant tissues, illustrated with figures and photographic plates. The 1948 edition retains the handsome pictorial dust-jacket over blue cloth — this copy is in fair condition with expected age-toning and light wear to the jacket edges but a sound binding (but with some cracking) and complete plates. Ideal for collectors of vintage microscopy books, practicing microscopists seeking historical techniques, or anyone wanting a hands-on guide to slide preparation. A practical reference and attractive addition to any scientific or vintage book collection.…

Store description
Private seller, selling my father's book collection. As a "reverend" his books were focused on religion and music. His hobbies are also reflected. This is far less about the money and more a labour of love to see his books go to good owners; please message me if you can help this to happen, or you have any questions at all.
