Print on Demand. This book uncovers the story of Methodism during the American Revolution. The Methodist movement played a crucial role in the founding of the United States, but its history during this transformative period has been largely overlooked. By exploring the writings of John Wesley and other Methodist leaders, this study reveals the movement's profound influence and profound commitment to the American cause. The author argues that Methodism's emphasis on individual conscience, its democratic ethos, its opposition to slavery, and its focus on education all contributed to the development of American ideals and institutions. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.

Resolved, 5. That as the Church and State, by their respective agencies, are brought into a more direct and vital co-operation in the education of the people than at any other point of their distinct movements, and as our Church does directly promote the welfare of the country by her educational institutions, therefore a most fitting commemoration of the National Centenary will be liberal offerings from our people to strengthen those educational institutions.
