Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.…

Transform your wandering thoughts into deep, purposeful communion with God using this classic, step-by-step masterclass on spiritual discipline.
For many believers, the greatest challenge of the Christian life is not the desire to pray, but the practice of prayer itself. We step into our quiet time with the best intentions, only to find our minds drifting, our requests repetitive, and our hearts strangely cold. We frequently stumble because we treat prayer as an unstructured emotional release rather than a cultivated holy discipline.
In Method in Prayer, legendary Bible teacher and prince of expositors Dr. W. Graham Scroggie tackles this spiritual fatigue head-on. Written with his trademark analytical precision and deep devotional warmth, Scroggie breaks down the essential anatomy of a powerful prayer life. He argues that a structured method does not quench the Holy Spirit; rather, it creates a pristine channel through which the Spirit can freely move, liberating our minds from distraction and anchoring our souls in the presence of God.
Why This Practical Guide to Prayer is an Absolute Necessity:-
The Cure for the Wandering Mind: Learn how utilizing a logical, scriptural structure keeps your thoughts sharply focused, enabling you to pray longer and with greater spiritual clarity.
-
A Balanced Approach to God: Move past the trap of turning your prayer time into a mere "shopping list" of personal demands by discovering how to weave together every facet of true biblical communion.
-
Flawless Expository Logic: Experience the same rigorous, beautifully organized outlines that made Dr. Scroggie one of the most beloved and celebrated Bible conference leaders of the twentieth century.
-
A Timeless Manual of Faith: Originally published in 1916, these crisp, direct exhortations cut straight through modern religious jargon to rescue the pure, foundational power of early 20th-century prayer warfare.
-
Adoration & Praise: Entering the gates of heaven by contemplating the glorious attributes, sovereign majesty, and holy beauty of the Almighty.
-
Confession & Cleansing: The vital art of honest self-examination, unmasking hidden sins, and laying them under the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ.
-
Thanksgiving: Actively cataloging and celebrating God's past and present mercies, cultivating a heart of deep contentment and unshakeable joy.
-
Petition & Intercession: The divine mechanics of making personal requests and engaging in serious spiritual warfare on behalf of others, the local church, and the global harvest of souls.
"Method in prayer is not a form of legalism; it is a framework for freedom. When we understand how to pray, our times of communion shift from a grueling obligation into the sweetest, most vital hour of our day." — Dr. W. Graham Scroggie
Stop settling for a shallow, chaotic prayer life. Let one of history’s greatest Bible teachers train you in the sacred art of systematic communion, and watch your quiet time transform into a reservoir of supernatural rest and power.
