Blockchain and Metaverse technologies are revolutionising the digital landscape by offering transformative potential across industries. Because of its decentralised and transparent nature, Blockchain ensures secure and tamper-proof transactions and fosters trust in such areas as finance, supply chain, and healthcare. It enables the creation of digital assets, smart contracts, and decentralised applications to pave the way for a more equitable and efficient digital economy. The Metaverse is redefining how people interact, work, and socialise by creating immersive virtual environments. It combines Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Blockchain
to enable ownership of digital assets, such as NFTs, and facilitate seamless virtual commerce. Together, these technologies are driving innovation, enhancing user experiences, and creating new opportunities for collaboration and economic growth in a rapidly evolving digital world.
Going beyond theoretical concepts, Metaverse and Blockchain: Real-World Applications covers the intersection of the Metaverse and Blockchain. The book offers a pragmatic exploration of how these technologies are revolutionising industries and creating tangible impact in business. Diving into the space where the Metaverse and Blockchain converge, the book explains real-world applications through case studies. It explores how Blockchain technology is reshaping the architecture of virtual worlds, providing a secure and transparent foundation for unprecedented digital experiences. Highlights of the book include the following:
- Augmenting virtual worlds with mobile edge computing
- Technological advancement of Blockchain through Metaverse in the financial sector
- Internet of Things-integrated Blockchain-based supply chain management
- Integrating machine learning and Blockchain technologies into the Metaverse
A guide to understanding and leveraging the potential of these transformative technologies, the book explains how to apply Metaverse and Blockchain in the real world so organisations and individuals can realise benefits from these innovative technologies.
