The words of Jesus form the very heart of St. Faustinas Diary, as the Merciful Savior calls her and each of us to an intimacy with Him and the mission of bringing mercy to the whole world. Jesus tells her, I see your efforts to please Me, and they delight My Heart (Diary, 1061). He also instructs her, My daughter, do whatever is within your power to spread devotion to My mercy. I will make up for what you lack. Tell aching mankind to snuggle close to My merciful Heart and I will fill it with peace (Diary, 1074). In Mercy Minutes with Jesus, words like these from the Diary are provided for each day, following key themes such as trust, deeds of mercy, union of love and humble simplicity. The compiler of this collection of Diary passages introduces each new theme. Further, a personal prayer response is provided for each day to help readers reflect on Jesus words to St. Faustina and then draw closer to Him in prayer. Consider this personal prayer response to a Diary passage on the theme of trust Jesus, You are Love and Mercy itself. I trust in You Fill me with so much grace that it radiates out to others. May I be a channel for Your mercy, a means of grace for others.…
