Report by the Rosas government on its activities during the critical year 1840 when the Unitarians under General Lavalle unsuccessfully invaded the country in a bid to overthrow the dictatorship. The document, signed by Rosas two secretaries of state, Felipe Arana and Manuel Insiarte, praises the dictator for defending the country, referring to him traditionally as restorer of the laws .
