This narrative, written by the Russian friar, Jacob the Monk, celebrates Prince Vladimir's significant role in the Christianization of Russia. It describes his deep desire for baptism, inspired by his grandmother Olga's faith, and how he became a pivotal figure in spreading Christianity throughout the region. The text highlights his acts of charity, the destruction of pagan idols, and the establishment of churches. It also honors Princess Olga's earlier contributions to the faith. Ultimately, it portrays Vladimir as a devoted leader who transformed his people and led them to God.
