Binding tight; pages have rough cut edges. Brown boards with faded gilt lettering have wear at corners and spine and light smudging. Inscribed to recipient on fep, dated 1916. Most likely a newspaper clipping was placed in between pages 10 and 11 as there are darker rectangles from the newsprint. Mothers, you are responsible for the lifetime happiness of your children. Happiness is from within. To have the love of the beautiful in nature, given to little ones is not only your duty, but ought to be your pleasure. No pressure! Poems and sayings for little ones. Pencil version of one of these inside back cover. 64 pp. Lovely font used to demarcate winter, autumn, spring and summer poems and more (including "The Dear, Dear Birds.").
