Hardcover, no dustjacket, this is the scarce original edition with Spanish text and has been rebound in brown cloth and decorative marbled boards, five illustrations, including a frontis portrait of the aviator/author, very clean copy with a few minor flaws: a few areas of mild, scattered foxing but all of the text and illustrations are fine, there is also a discreet, neatly written short note at the top of the title page and the front cover has a slight upward bow, Candelaria (1892-1963) was an Argentine army lieutenant and pilot who on April 13, 1918 flew a Morane-Saulnier Type L parasol wing monoplane over the Andes Mountains (the first person to do this) , linking the towns of Zapala, Argentina and Cunco, Chile in a flight time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, reaching 4,200 meters above sea level ; 127 pages.
