[16], 416p. 20 cm full leather binding with gilt spine and blind impressing on boards. Ex-library with bookplate and label on front endpapers. Occasional scuffing leather on hinges show wear and corners bumped. Endpapers show some foxing as do several pages at either end of the binding. Majority pages are clean. Text unmarked. Sold "as-is." Together with the most considerable Treaties and Alliances made with France, from the year 1687, to the year 1710. Intermixt with several Original Private Letters (never before made Publick) written by The French King, Card. Partocarrero, Duke of Anjou, Elector of Bavaria, Marquess de Torcy, Charles III of Spain, Prince Eugene, Duke of Marlborough, Duke of Ormond, M. Auverquerque, &c. Seller Inventory # 118254

Full Calf. Condition: Good. Second Edition. [16], 416pp. Full contemporary panelled calf, later rebacked and recornered in a lighter toned leather, raised bands, spine in six panels, new endpapers. Small gouge to front board, with some loss to leather. Endpapers have later (nineteenth century) inscriptions, small tear to fore-edge of ffep, internally browned, foxed and occasionally stained (not affecting sense), with old marginalia in pencil to many pages. "A translation of 'La Guerre d'Espagne', which is largely fictitious; generally attributed to Gatien Courtilz de Sandras, but also attributed by some authorities to Gabriel Alphonse de Sassenage" (Estc).
