Print on Demand. This book chronicles the life of Levi Parsons, a young man who dedicated his life to serving as a missionary to the indigenous peoples of western Asia. Born in 1792, Parsons was an obedient and pleasant child, traits that carried into his adult life. He experienced a spiritual renewal at age 16 that led to his formal declaration of faith two years later. Parsons was an active member of his church, often leading prayer meetings and engaging in outreach activities. He enrolled in Middlebury College in 1810, where he quickly became involved in the school's religious scene. In college, Parsons decided to pursue a life of service in foreign missions. He felt that the needs of non-Christian populations outweighed his desire for a more comfortable life, leading him to dedicate himself to the cause of bringing Christianity to those who had yet to experience it. The author of this captivating biography follows Parsons' journey, exploring the evolution of his faith, his struggles, and his successes as he follows his calling. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
