Ilustrated boards have protective tape around edges, scuffing to boards and bumping to tips; usual school district markings. This is an ex-school district book with the expected school markings. Step-Up Books fill a need for precise informational material written in a simple readable form which children can and will enjoy. The words are harder, but not too hard; there's a lot more text, but it's in bigger print; and there are plenty of illustrations, but they are not just picture books. The subject matter has been carefully chosen to appeal to young readers who want to find out about the world for themselves. Meet the Pilgrim Fathers is the fascinating story of our pilgrim forefathers and how they lived.
