A collection of poetry about the medical profession by William Harrison Lipman, M.D. (1901-1990), who got his medical degree from the University of Chicago in 1926, with an internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. He married Pearl Levin in 1928 and began his medical career in Kenosha, Wisconsin, just as the Great Depression began. A half century later, he was recognized by the American College of Allergists for a lifetime of achievement and service as an allergist, teacher and writer in the fields of allergy and respiratory illness.
