Item description from seller

Beacon Press, Second Printing, 1954. Trade Paperback in Good Condition. Black/gray/orange wraps worn, crease to lower corner, edges rubbed; stapled binding tight and solid, all pages intact. Pages clean and completely unmarked, no underlining, no highlighting. An impressive critical, non-hysterical book about Senator McCarthy and his investigations and his methods, against a real fight against communism and communist subversion. The author says: "It is difficult to believe that anyone will ever again say--as many have been doing these past four hectic years--I don't approve of his methods, but I think he is doing a good job. The fact is-and I hope this book helps prove it, that he is not doing a good job". Most intersting reading for anyone interested in the McCarthy phenomenon. In one chapter, the reader can see ow closely he aped the political action techniques of the Communists. 163 pages. 8" x 5.5". 1954, The Beacon Press, Boston, Massachusett.
