Spindlewink: The Joy Mage
Max has always been a disaster. Not on purpose - things just tend to explode, melt, honk, or develop strong opinions whenever he's around. He's been called clumsy, chaotic, and occasionally a walking safety hazard. But when Max arrives at the magical world of Spindlewink, he begins to suspect that his accidents aren't accidents at all.
With the help of his friends - Liuna, a fierce and glittery fairy with strong muffin opinions; Theo, a steady and quietly brilliant scholar-mage; Aeliana, a sharp and loyal warrior; and Flynn, who is dignified right up until he isn't - Max uncovers a shocking truth. He was cursed at birth by those who feared what he might become. His chaos wasn't a flaw. It was stolen potential.
Now Max must journey through mirror realms, haunted fairgrounds, complaining fog, and a dimension held together by questionable logic to reclaim what was taken from him - and discover that he was never the mistake he thought he was.
Funny, heartfelt, and genuinely surprising, Spindlewink: The Joy Mage is a story about finding your people, laughing in the face of darkness, and learning that joy - real, stubborn, unstoppable joy - might just be the most powerful magic of all.
Perfect for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid meets The School for Good and Evil.
