WHO ARE YOU FOLLOWING? HOW WILL YOU FIND YOUR WAY?
When Jesus appeared in Galilee, he announced the coming of a powerful new Kingdom and then invited people to follow him into that new reality. Those who trusted Jesus enough to learn how to walk in his footsteps were transformed and began to live a supernaturally fruitful life shaped by his.
Footsteps Every Day is a series of devotional commentaries designed to help you listen for the voice of your Shepherd and respond by taking a step of faith every day. Drawing on ancient history, Middle Eastern culture, and recent archaeological discoveries, these books illuminate the Way of Jesus and reflect on what it means to follow him today.
Volume One: Matthew offers insightful commentary on every verse of the First Gospel in 86 passages, 14 weeks of daily devotionals. You can read them six days a week or go at your own pace. At the end of each daily devotion there is space to reflect and write your thoughts on the passage. After every six days there is space to reflect on your readings for the week, consider steps of faith, and identify a verse to memorize.
If you follow this book with Volumes 2-4 on Mark, Luke, and John, they will take you on a journey through all four Gospels in a year. These books can also be used as a commentary for teachers and preachers who want an accessible introduction to the background of any passage in the four Gospels. They can also be used as a study guide for small groups, Bible studies, and Sunday School classes.
Bob Rognlien is a pastor, teacher, author, and archaeological guide who has been leading people on in-depth, life-changing journeys following the footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land for over 30 years. He is the author of ten books, including Recovering the Way and The Most Extraordinary Life.
