Item description from seller

Complete in three volumes. All three volumes uniformly bound in laminated, stiff card covers with titles front and spine. 8vos. A little gentle edge wear to card covers on all three volumes; each of the volumes has faded covers to differing degrees; the upper panel on volume three is heavily faded. Internally all three volumes neat, clean, bright and tight, with just some minor and occasional signs of handling. A classic, three-volume major study of mathematics, here translated into English from the original Russian. It features contributions from leading Soviet mathematicians, bridging the gap between elementary and advanced mathematics.
