Also, looks as if tape tabs were made for each section then torn off leaving chunks out of the pages without damaging information. Spine torn at head front & back. Hardcover has red cloth embossed covers with lettering in gold shadowbox on front cover, but no DJ. In Preface to this 8th edition, noted addition of 15-page "table of natural secants and cosecants for angles in degrees and minutes has been added in response to the need developed by the increased use of computing machines".
