Book version of the author's weekly periodical with b/w Illustrations by George Cattermole and Hablot Browne. Condition is assessed as poor specifically because: Vol 1: front board detached from book block; with bottom 1/4 of spine attached (plus the rest of the spine is missing). Rear board detached. Vol 2: boards attached though the front joint is a bit loose. The section near the tail of the spine is also loose but still attached. The area towards the head of the spine is frayed. First two endpapers are detached. Vol 3: boards are attached but top three bands of spine material (leather) are separated but present (kept inside the book); binding a bit loose. Across all three books: marble effect leather boards - all rubbed, marked, faded and curled/bent at corners. Internally: all moderately tanned throughout with intermittent, though persistent spotting/blemishes - more evident on the preliminary and final pages. 8vo/pagination: Vol. 1: ix, 306, Vol. 2: vi, 306, Vol. 3: vi, 426.
