An illustrated collection of projects for the creation of wooden boxes, which provides instruction on mortise-and-tenon joinery, veneering, dovetailing and other woodwork techniques.
From the Author:
This is a hands-on project book about building wooden boxes.
This book has eighteen box projects and sixteen chapters on techniques for box making. Boxes include various jewelry boxes, a hope chest, tansu, spice box, clock case, and more. Techniques include five chapters on dovetail techniques both hand and router, table saw finger joints, simple veneering, band saw and lathe techniques and others. Each project is documented with in-progess photos, cut lists, drawings and clear instructions. Each box is shown with a color photo, but this is not just a book of pretty pictures. If you are looking for a book to take into the shop and actually use to make boxes, this is it.
