ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Actress and presenter Marta Torne composes a fascinating first novel, with a surprising narrative voice and a story full of tenderness, love, and lots of humor. Sometimes we search for love among individuals of the wrong species. Since her last romantic disappointment, Marta's heart seems to have been split into a thousand pieces. All her emotions are backward. She is thirty years old, has no boyfriend, and feels alone in Madrid. Her only consolation is David, her friend and roommate. And her only refuge from sadness are the dates with boys that only make her feel more insecure: because they are too good-looking or because she doesn't feel like she is on the same level as they are. Now she spends her days fighting to establish herself in the performing world but without finding much meaning in her life. But then, almost by chance, Rufus enters her life: a little Yorkshire terrier who ends up being her best ally in understanding love and happiness.
