One of 375 copies, printed by the Castle Press, signed in blue ink by the author. "This is the third volume in a series written by Neil Harlow on California Cities. Eighty maps have been researched and described in this volume. The earliest map dates back to 1602 (the Vizcaino expedition) and the latest to 1874 when the patent for the pueblo lands was at last signed by Pesident Grant and delivered to the city. The first section develops the historical context during which these maps were produced and in the second section the maps are described, dated and located in their respective collections." -from the prospectus.
