Climate change is severely impacting cities and their surrounding areas, highlighting the need for new visions of the future in multiple facets of our lives. Building on its previous work in metropolitan planning and design, MetroLab has developed a visionary mapping approach to address the climate crisis on the metropolitan scale. It aims to identify real needs for action and to show new pathways with a particular focus on the Vienna metropolitan area. The creative mapping approach reveals multilayered spatial phenomena, functional linkages, and spatial relationships between the city and its surroundings, visually communicating key trends and illustrating how climate goals can be achieved through integrated, cross-border development. Stefan Mayr ist Architekt mit Erfahrung in den Bereichen Stadtplanung und -gestaltung. Er studierte Architektur an der TU Wien und der TU Delft und verfügt über mehr als 20 Jahre Erfahrung im Kontext nachhaltiger Stadt- und Landschaftsarchitektur. Mayr lehrt Stadtplanung und Stadtgestaltung an der Technischen Universität Wien. Er ist Mitbegründer von superwien urbanism.
Cédric Ramière ist ein französischer Architekt, der durch sein lokales Erbe und weltweite Reisen beeinflusst ist. Seine Forschung konzentriert sich auf die urbane Wiederverwendung und die klimatischen Einflüsse sowohl in Frankreich als auch auf internationaler Ebene. Als Mitbegründer der Büros CoCo architecture und YEAN arbeitet er an qualitätvoller moderner Architektur, vom Gebäude bis zur Metropole.
Claudia Staubmann ist eine österreichische Architektin, die in Frankreich lebt und sich auf zeitgenössische urbane Themen konzentriert. Sie ist Mitbegründerin des Büros YEAN, eines für das Projekt „TirolCity" bekannten europäischen Netzwerks. Im Périgord gründete sie das Büro CoCo architecture mit Schwerpunkt auf moderne Architektur in ländlichen Gebieten mit hoher Umweltqualität.
